Have you ever wondered how you can contribute to a more sustainable future? Are you passionate about food and how it is produced all over the world? Not only now, but also for generations to come? Do you have innovative ideas that will protect food security and the environment, and ensure protection of plants from pests and diseases?
At the 14th IUPAC International Congress of Crop Protection, we want to give young agricultural students and researchers, just like you, an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, build skills and share knowledge. With the support of CropLife International, IAAS, YPARD and you, this dream will come true.
What can you expect?
Thanks to the generous support of CropLife International, 50 young agricultural students and researchers will be sponsored to come to Ghent, Belgium for the Next Generation Agri Summit, part of the IUPAC 2019 International Congress from May 19 until May 24, 2019.
You can be part of a Summit that has been designed specifically by and for the next generation of crop protection leaders. Keep the world up to date on the Congress with your blogposts after a social media training course. Broaden your network and connect with our globally renowned speakers such as the Nobel prize winner Sir Fraser Stoddart.
Pursue your dreams
We know that it is a big step to transform an innovative idea in to a real-life impactful project for the future of agriculture. As part of the IUPAC Next Generation Program, we are launching N-GAGE (Next Generation Agricultural Innovators). N-GAGE is an IUPAC pilot project providing seed funding and one year of mentorship opportunities to up to 5
young agricultural innovators to join the Agri Summit, receive seed funding for their project idea and one-year of mentorship and training opportunities to help realize their dreams.
What happens next?
Perhaps you are working on a specific project or innovation right now? Or maybe you have an idea you want to take forward and need start-up funding. Or perhaps you simply have a bright idea about the future of sustainable crop protection that you want to share. If you have an idea about sustainable crop protection, you can apply!
